OWDEN - Adjustable Groover

OWDEN premium adjustable groover is a great choice for scribing a shallow line in your leather, or to create a deeper channel so your thread is recessed. This tool is commonly used to reduce the wear and tear, or abrasion, on the thread.

• Handle made of Brass and Wood.
• 3 size replaceable tips (1.0-1.2-1.5 mm) for different groove widths.

• Can be adjusted for right or left handed users.

How to use:

• Adjust the 'L' shaped guide to the desired distance.
• Make sure blade is centred, and all adjustment knobs are tight.
• Hold the tool like a pencil, and keep the 'L' guide tight on the edge of your leather. 
• Place the blade on the surface of the leather, and pull back towards yourself. A small string of leather should come out of the back of the blade. 

Tip for beginners

• If you're not sure exactly how far away the groove line should be from your edge, we usually recommend setting the distance from the edge in relation to the thickness of your leather; IE if you have a 1/4" thick piece, your groove will work well 1/4" in from the edge.
